The birth of Anya Taylor-Joy took place April 16 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former Banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish and English descent. She is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six after which the family relocated from the city of Victoria within London. According to Taylor-Joy, the removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to master English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in shows. At the age of 16years old, Taylor-Joy left the school to focus her full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy's desire to be an actor began at a young, age.
