Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. The mother of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. She is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four come from her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six after which the family relocated from the city of Victoria in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and that she didn't learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was forced to change schools. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in the school's productions. When she reached the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to pursue a full-time acting profession. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actor from a young age. The realization of her dreams came after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
