LeBron Raymone James Sr. born on December 30, 1984 is an American professional basketball player who represents the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely thought to be one of the best players of all time and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James was awarded two Olympic golds, as well as four NBA titles. James has the highest points during playoffs and has and has the second highest number of career points and is seventh in ever assists. Alongside being an NBA All-Star, James was picked for his NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever, including eight in succession between the years 2011-2018, He was also picked to join The NBA 75th Anniversary team. James was named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. James became the first NBA player with 10,000 points, 10 rebounds and an assists in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron Ohio, where he was raised. National media touted him as a potential NBA superstar. In 2003 his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft as a pro-to-prep. Being the NBA rookie of the year 2004, he established himself quickly as one of the most elite players in the league, receiving the NBA MVP awards for 2009 and 2010. James was not able to secure the award with Cleveland, and left the city as"a "free agent" in 2010. This decision was made in the TV special The Decision.
