Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer in The One Direction band. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former student at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive schools was the founder of a band called White Eskimo with three fellow students. They won the 2009 Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. Although he has an interest in music he also wanted to be the next lawyer or physiotherapist. Part-time work in a city bakery is his very first job to earn money for the family. Harry Styles, in 2010 made an audition for The X Factor. His song Is not She Lovely was recorded by Stevie Wonder. Because of this, the group he was in had to be disbanded. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who recommended Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell and were the first to sing Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You as well Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the best contenders for the competition. But they finished placed third in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds for One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
