Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer to The One Direction band. He is the father of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own group of musicians with 3 classmates. The band was named White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to their excellent performance. While he's always fascinated by the arts, he hoping to be an attorney or an physiotherapist. When he worked in the city's pastry shop Harry Styles managed to support his family. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. It was for this reason the band split up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join a future band that would be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in 2010. The group performed hits like My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the potential winners to win the award. Despite this, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not win the competition. But Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
