Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. Following a brief time as a model in the fashion industry, she quickly transitioned to acting by appearing in guest roles on television shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. In 1997 she debuted as a film actress in Nowhere. Then, in American Beauty and American Pie, she gained wider recognition in her roles. In 2000, she starred alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the lead role for the role of Sugar & Spice (2002). There were appearances on her in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller film Trauma. Additionally, she appeared on the HBO series Six Feet Under. The series was on in 2004. Also, she was cast in Day of The Dead, The Mysteries of Pittsburg, and in the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model in Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured in several fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. She has been a supporter and advocates in the African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious foundation that assists in the relief of Africa.
