Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson hails from the US and is a performer, actor as well as a writer, director and singer. Her most famous role is as Tara Maclay, in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also appeared in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977. She was born in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her elder sister who is also an artist. Benson was brought up in a Reform Synagogue by the Reform Jewish mother as well as her Jewish father. Benson has appeared involved in numerous TV and movie shows in the years since Buffy ended, has also appeared in The Killing Jar. While behind the lens, Benson used her talents as a writer to write The Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010, she also directed Drones.
